A shoe can feel perfectly agreeable while you’re standing still and have quite a different opinion by the back nine. Think about how you play. Do you walk most rounds? Head out when the grass is wet? Like a firm, planted feel, or something more relaxed?

Those are useful things to know before choosing. So is the fit of the shoes you already own. Have a look at the options, check the details for the particular pair and speak to the Pro Shop if you’re unsure. Nobody gets a better round out of spending four hours thinking about their little toe.
