✓Doug continues to serve as the Head Professional at Southern Pines Golf and Country Club (44 years) and is an active member of the PGA of Canada.

✓Before joining Southern Pines, he served his apprenticeship at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club under professionals Dick Borthwick and Ken Steeves.

✓ He took over the operation of Southern Pines Golf and Country Club from the original owner, Jack Stradwick, and eventually became the owner himself alongside his wife, Elaine.

✓ Continues professional education through teaching summits with leading instructors
