I come to Southern Pines as Owner / Head Professional in 1981 after serving my apprenticeship at Hamilton Golf Club under the watchful eyes of Dick Borthwick and Ken Steeves. Ken taught me the fine art of club repairs and most importantly golf merchandising both of which I have used over the 40+ years here at Southern Pines. I continue to learn and educate myself in the field of teaching and club fitting by attending yearly Golf Seminars and Teaching Summits taught by some of the world's sought after teachers such as Butch Harmon, Jim McLean and David Leadbetter. My dream was to add the Trackman4 to our facility and in 2019 we added an Indoor Golf Simulator area. This addition has taken our club fitting and teaching to the next level which I am very proud of. Elaine and I are very blessed to have so many wonderful people in our Southern Pines Family!
